As specialty fibers and textile-manufacturing processes continue to evolve and improve, more and more product designers and engineers are turning to webbing as the ideal component for myriad, critical applications – often as a replacement for heavier, rigid materials, such as cables, chains, etc. We at OTEX pride ourselves on our pursuit – ongoing – to push the limits of textile performance and our long track record for developing innovative webbing firsts has opened many new product solution opportunities for our clients.
Supplying the exacting narrow-textile needs of demanding sectors like Fire Safety, Aerospace & Space Travel, Defense, Fall Protection, Flood Protection, and others, the OTEX R&D team utilizes a rigorous, in-depth analytical protocol when considering a customer’s new component application. This, to confirm exact performance goals, requisite testing/certifications, as well as to identify potential environmental and/or wear challenges.
